Students of Radharaman Engineering College celebrating their victory.
In the league matches held today in the Radharaman-RGPV Nodal Cricket Tournament held at the Radharaman Cricket Ground, Bhopal, the teams of Trueba and Radharaman Engineering College (REC) performed brilliantly and strengthened their position in the tournament by winning their respective matches.
In the first match, Trueba defeated VNS by a huge margin of 145 runs. Batting first, Trueba scored a big score of 220 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. The team's wicketkeeper-batsman Aditya Mishra played an explosive inning of 111 runs in 50 balls with the help of 12 fours and 8 sixes. Along with him, Amit Thakur contributed 30 runs in 17 balls. In bowling, Utkarsh Pandey took 3 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs and Dhruv Singh took 3 wickets in just 4 balls to send the opposition team to the pavilion. Aditya Mishra was declared man of the match for his brilliant performance.
Dr. Rajeev Malviya gave the trophy to Man of the Match Sarfe Alam Ansari.
In the second match, Radharaman Engineering College defeated Shashib College by 38 runs. Batting first, Radharaman scored 137 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Team's batsman Shriram Kohli played a solid inning of 42 runs in 52 balls, while Ramnivas Patel scored 25 runs in 21 balls. In bowling, Sarfe Alam Ansari took 4 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs and broke the back of the opposing team. Shashib College team was all out for 93 runs in 14.5 overs. Sarfe Alam Ansari was chosen man of the match for his excellent bowling.
