Joffra Archer not in shortlist

England's stormy fast bowler Joffra Archer's name is not among the shortlisted players. Joffra, once the main player of Rajasthan Royals (RR), has recently made a comeback after recovering from injury. Mumbai Indians (MI) bought him in the 2022 auction with a huge bid of Rs 8 crore. Then he had elbow surgery and there was no hope of his recovery till that season. Ultimately he did not play both the seasons for Mumbai Indians and was later released. Apart from him, England captain and veteran all-rounder Ben Stokes will also not be seen in the IPL 2025 auction. Although he had not registered for the mega auction.

Amit Mishra and Cameron Green were also not shortlisted

India's experienced leg spinner Amit Mishra will also not be seen in the auction this time. He was a part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) till last season, but has not been shortlisted for the IPL 2025 auction. Australia's star all-rounder Cameron Green has also not been shortlisted. Kabhi Green was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.5 crore. Later he was traded by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Jason Roy found it difficult to leave IPL again and again

England's explosive opening batsman Jason Roy was sold in the auction several times, but then he withdrew his name. This time Roy has not been shortlisted for the mega auction. Apart from him, England's fast bowler Chris Woakes has also not been shortlisted by any team. It is believed that Vox had kept its base price higher. For this reason he was not shortlisted for the auction.

Saurabh Netrawalkar is also out

Indian-origin United States of America (USA) fast bowler Saurabh Netrawalkar bowled brilliantly in the T20 World Cup 2024. After which he got registered in IPL. But Netrawalkar has not been shortlisted for the mega auction.

Future of 574 players at stake

This time the future of 574 players will be at stake in the mega auction, which includes 366 Indian and 208 foreign players. A total of 330 uncapped players will be part of this auction, which includes 318 Indian and 12 foreign players. Slots are vacant for 204 players in 10 teams, in which 70 foreign players can make place. The big auction will start on November 24 at 3.30 pm Indian time.
