Overall, Kamboj has become the sixth Indian bowler to take 10 wickets in first-class cricket. Anil Kumble, Subhash Gupte and Debashish Mohanty are the other bowlers included in this list. Fast bowler Kamboj needed only two wickets to achieve this feat before the start of the third day's play. He registered his name in the record books by taking the wickets of Basil Thampi and Shaun Roger.
With his brilliant bowling, Haryana bowled out Kerala for 291 runs in the first innings. During this period, Kamboj also completed 50 wickets in first-class cricket. Kamboj, a resident of Karnal, came into limelight last season by taking 17 wickets in 10 matches and played an important role in Haryana winning the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
After this he played three matches for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 and took two wickets. Kamboj played for India 'A' in the Emerging Men's Asia Cup in Oman last month and took four wickets in three matches. In international cricket, only Jim Laker, Anil Kumble and Ajaz Patel have taken all ten wickets in an innings of a Test match.
