The city's Utkal society is celebrating its annual festival. Various sports, dance and cultural competitions were organized in Jagannath Temple located at Raja Rajapara. On October 27, as part of the annual festival, competitions of Houji, Musical Glass, General Knowledge, Conch Blowing, Rangoli and Alpana, Musical Chair for children, One Minute Memory Game, Frog Race, Spoon Race were organized in the temple premises for the women section. Whereas for the men's category, competitions like chess, carrom, table tennis, badminton, conch blowing were organized. Cricket competition was organized at the Polytechnic ground.

Teams from the society participated in it. Sambalpuri dance and Antyakshari competition has been organized in the evening in the temple premises from 3 pm on 15th November. On November 17, the annual festival and talent felicitation ceremony will be organized at Banshiwat at 6 pm. The chief guest of the program will be Finance Minister and Raigarh MLA OP Chaudhary. Special guests in the program will include Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra, Irashish Acharya MLA Bhathali Odisha. The program will be conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. Prakash Mishra, President, Utkal Cultural Service Committee, Raigarh.
