Deoria. District level selection trial for participation in state level senior men's cricket was organized at the sports stadium on Tuesday.
A total of 45 players staked claim in this. A 10-member team was selected after examining their talent in other disciplines including batting, bowling and fielding. This team will participate in the divisional trials on Wednesday.
Senior men's cricket competition will be organized by the Sports Directorate from 16 to 22 November at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur. The team of Gorakhpur division will also participate in it. Under the supervision of sports officer Anurag Srivastava, part-time honorarium coach Awadhesh Yadav, Deoria Cricket Association treasurer Nagendra Tripathi, players performed in various disciplines of the game.
