I never thought that I would have to leave the sport that has been my passion and my love. But here I am facing a painful reality. My body has changed a lot after undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and becoming a trans woman. I am losing my muscle mass, strength, muscle memory, and athletic abilities that I once depended on. The game I loved for so long is slipping away from me.

What is Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

In this process, the gender of a man or woman is changed by changing their hormones. In this, the help of plastic surgery is also taken. It was recognized in India in 2014.

At least four doctors, psychiatrist, surgeon, gynecologist and a neuro surgeon are involved in the entire process of gender change surgery. Doctors say that this surgery is done only on people above 21 years of age. In children younger than this, the operation is performed only after taking written consent from the parents.
