Partapur A 5-day inter-college cricket competition started in PSP College from Monday. The chief guest was Professor Laxmanlal Parmar, Deputy Registrar of GGTU. Special guest was District Cricket Association Secretary Manish Dev Joshi, President of GGTU Sports Board.
19 teams from Banswara, 17 from Dungarpur and 4 from Pratapgarh participated in the competition. In which Adarsh College Anandpuri and Government College Garhi, Gyanmurthy Ghatol and Gurukripa Peeth, Hariom TT College Aspur and Govind Guru Government College, Sunroj Sagwara and Vivekananda Anjana, Siddheshwar College Dhariyavad and Pragati College Dungarpur, Yogeshwar College Sajjangarh and Raj Noble College Dungarpur, Gurukul Sagwara. And Swami Vivekananda Sagwada, SBP Dungarpur and Mahatma Gandhi Timba Gamdi, The matches between Utkarsh Sajjangarh and Gyayak Sagwara were played at New Look Rico, Subhash Stadium, Partapur and historical Himmat Maidan at Garhi. The program was presided over by Dr. RC Mangal, Principal of PSP College. Announcing this, District Cricket Association Secretary Manishdev Joshi said that keeping in view the future of cricket and the potential of talent, a cricket academy will soon be started in Partapur.
He said that if any organization can take up the responsibility of providing the required land, then the Cricket Association will be able to fulfill the remaining responsibility. This will pave the way for new talents in this area to shine and come forward. On this occasion, Director Dr. Vishesh Pandya assured to provide necessary land resources. Physical teacher Vimal Prasad Upadhyay organized an exhibition on the history of cricket. Which was inaugurated by chief guest Professor Laxman Parmar.
