Champions Trophy 2025, The Pakistan Cricket Board will seek clarification from the ICC regarding the hosting of the Champions Trophy as it has only been told that the Indian team will not come for the tournament but no information has been given on the proposal of hybrid model. Pakistan will not send its team for the tournament to be held in February. BCCI informed the International Cricket Council about this.
An informed source in the PCB said that 'There has been no talk about holding the Champions Trophy on the hybrid model.' The hybrid model was adopted in the Asia Cup last year when India's matches were held in Sri Lanka and all the other matches were held in Pakistan. There is speculation that India's matches may be held in Dubai.
ICC will seek clarification from Pakistan Cricket Board
The source said that 'PCB, after talking to its legal advisors, will send an email to ICC seeking clarification on India's decision. The PCB is in touch with the government for advice and instructions if necessary. The source also said that if the Pakistan government takes a tough decision on cricket relations with India, there could be legal consequences for the ICC.
He said there could be legal consequences from business partners as the ICC has told broadcasters and sponsors that all top cricket playing nations will participate in the tournaments. The Indian team has not toured Pakistan since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Have not done. Both the teams play each other only in ICC tournaments.
