Mumbai: The first batch of the Indian team left for Australia on Sunday night for the Border Gavaskar Trophy starting on November 22. Actually, the Indian team is going to Australia in two groups. The first group includes Mohammed Siraj, Akashdeep, assistant coach Abhishek Nair, all-rounder Washington Sundar, Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal was surrounded by fans at the airport, after which he was also seen giving autographs. After recently losing 0-3 at home to New Zealand, it has become a bit difficult for the Indian team to reach the WTC final. If India has to reach the final, it will have to win this series 4-0. The first Test will be played in Perth, the second Test will be day-night in Adelaide, the third Test will be played in Brisbane, the fourth Test will be played in Melbourne as Boxing Day Test and the fifth and last Test will be played in Sydney.
Rohit Sharma will not play the first test?

It was already being said about the Indian captain that he would not play the first one or two Tests due to personal reasons. This got strengthened when he was seen missing in the first batch of the Indian team. If sources are to be believed, Jasprit Bumrah can be seen captaining in the first test.

Warner's name missing from Australian team

In the first Test, Nathan McSweeney will open the innings with Usman Khawaja for the first time while Josh Inglis has also got a place in the Test team for the first time. Cricket Australia has included these two new faces in the team for the five-Test series starting in Perth from November 22. McSweeney's selection was lobbied by David Warner and Ricky Ponting, with him being preferred over Marcus Harris, Cameron Bancroft and Sam Konstans. The 25-year-old McSweeney has performed consistently in the Sheffield Shield over the past few years and also impressed as captain and batsman in the A team's match against India.
