Yash Dhull continued his excellent form and scored his second century of the season, but left-arm spinner Nishank Birla took six wickets as Chandigarh bowled out Delhi for 276 runs in the first innings on the opening day of the Ranji Trophy Group D match on Wednesday. At stumps, Chandigarh scored 63 runs after losing one wicket. Shivam Bhambri was present at the crease after scoring 42 runs. Dhull, who scored a century against Tamil Nadu, scored 121 runs facing 190 balls and added 96 runs with Ayush Badoni. Badoni scored 49 runs in 50 balls with three sixes. Nishank took six wickets for 72 runs on a turning pitch while off-spinner Vishu Kashyap took two wickets. But Delhi's middle order again flopped in which captain Himmat Singh again failed to open the account. Kshitij Sharma (02) again could not do anything amazing. Shivank Vashishtha (31 runs) and Hrithik Shaukeen (16) added 35 runs for the ninth wicket, taking Delhi to 275 runs.
Khanduri's century, Uttarakhand scored 232 runs for one wicket.
Vijayanagar (Andhra). Opener Priyanshu Khanduri scored the second century of his first-class career as Uttarakhand scored 232 runs for one wicket against Andhra on the first day of the Ranji Trophy Group B match on Wednesday. At the end of the day's play, 29-year-old Khanduri was playing with 107 runs while captain Ravikumar Samarth was supporting him with 30 runs. Khanduri gave a great start to the team by adding 157 runs for the first wicket with Avnish Sudha (86 runs, 158 balls). Left arm spinner Lalit Mohan broke this partnership by dismissing Avneesh. Khanduri then put the team in a strong position by making an unbroken partnership of 75 runs with Samarth for the second wicket. Khanduri, who made his debut in the year 2017, has so far faced 272 balls and hit 11 fours.
Jasinder-Imanjot bundled out Haryana for 114 runs.
Thanks to the lethal bowling of off-spinner Jasinder Singh, playing the first Ranji Trophy match, and left-arm spinner Imanjot Singh, playing the second match, Punjab bowled out leading Haryana for just 114 runs in the Group C match. Dhiru Singh scored 34 runs for Haryana. Jasinder took four wickets for 33 runs, Imanjot Singh took three wickets for 43 runs and leg spinner Mayank Markandey took two wickets for three runs. Although Punjab also lost five wickets for 90 runs in the first innings, but experienced Anmolpreet Singh is playing unbeaten on 45 runs in 69 balls. For Haryana, spinner Jayant Yadav took two wickets for 33 runs and Nishant Sindhu took two wickets for 21 runs. Punjab is still 24 runs behind Haryana.
