Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: In the third Adhir Dubey T-20 cricket tournament, the batting and bowling of the players tied the match. After useful bowling by Anil Lal (3 wickets), a blazing half-century by man of the match Zeeshan Azhar (70) helped Career Lions defeat SMR Club by three wickets in the 3rd Adhir Dubey Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament.
Batting first at the Pandit Rash Bihari Tiwari Stadium, SMR Club scored 177 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated overs. Rashid added 28 runs after the half-centuries of Mohammad Javed (58 runs, 32 balls, 8 fours, two sixes) and Rehan (52 runs, 42 balls, 5 fours). Anil Lal got the success of three wickets from Career Lions. In reply, Carrier Lions chased the target and won the match by scoring 179 runs for 7 wickets with five balls remaining in the stipulated overs.
The team could not make a good start and the opening pair returned to the pavilion with a total score of 28 runs. In such a situation, Zeeshan Azhar gave strength to the team by playing a brilliant half-century of 70 runs with 12 fours in just 39 balls. Ehsan contributed to the victory by scoring 39 not out, Dheeraj Aggarwal by scoring 17 runs and Azim Rehman by scoring 15 runs. Anil Kumar Gautam and Anil Singh from SMR club took two wickets each.
