Ambala. The fame of Ambala's cricket players is being heard all over the world. After Vaibhav Arora, who became the player of Indian Team A, 25-year-old Gurjapaneet, a left arm fast bowler from Ambala, is emerging. Gurjapneet Kaur, resident of Staff Road, Cantonment, is playing Ranji for Tamil Nadu.

Apart from this, he has been a net bowler for different teams in IPL. He has even been a part of the bid for players in 2024 but he remained a part of any team. Recently, he has been India's net bowler in the Test series between Bangladesh and India. He has troubled even big batsmen like Virat Kohli with his fast bowling.

Currently playing Ranji in Tamil Nadu. In Gurjapaneet Kaur's first Ranji debut, Cheteshwar Pujara was dismissed for 0 runs. Took 6 wickets and did not concede a single run in 5 overs. However, till now only three Ranji matches have taken place and five matches are to be held. After that there will be matches in January. Gurjapaneet told that he bowls left arm and throws the ball at a speed of 135.

Started playing cricket in seventh grade

Gurjapaneet told that he is originally a resident of Ambala Cantonment Staff Road. Studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya number one since the beginning. Being fond of cricket since childhood, he started playing it in seventh grade itself. Played a lot of cricket in the grounds of SD College and along with hitting fours and sixes, he improved his bowling. In 2017, it was because of cricket that he took admission in Guru Nanak College, Chennai. After post graduation, he is playing Ranji for Tamil Nadu. Told that father Jagjit Singh is a photographer in Ambala Cantonment and mother Premjit Kaur is a housewife and has a younger sister Mehakpreet Kaur.
