An inter-school cricket tournament is being organized at Dr. AHrizvi PG College Karari in Kaushambi. Two semi-final matches were played on Friday, the 11th day of the tournament. The first semi-final match was between National Inter College, Bharwari and Mahadev Singh Singraur Inter College, Katra.
Scored 61 runs and won the match
Mahadev Singh Singraur College captain Amit Pal won the toss and decided to bowl first. National Inter College, batting first, scored 59 runs and lost 10 wickets, yet they won the match.
The second semi-final match was played between Maheshwari Prasad Inter College, Alamchand and Dr. Rizvi Spring Field School, Karari. Alamchand College captain won the toss and batted first and scored 59 runs for 5 wickets in 10 overs. He set a target of 60 runs. In reply, Dr. Rizvi Spring Field School scored 61 runs losing 4 wickets in 6.3 overs and won the match.
Took 3 wickets for just 7 runs
Chief Guest Vipul Pratap Singh (PGT Alamchand) gave the 'Man of the Match' award to Rizvi School Captain Mohammad Taufiq for his excellent performance. Taufiq took 3 wickets for just 7 runs in 2 overs. Due to which his team won the match by 6 wickets. On this occasion, many teachers including college assistant professor Deepak Mishra, Mukesh Kushwaha, Rajendra, Anand Gupta and Rajesh Singh were present.
