Chaibasa: Pratap Cricket Club reached Quafa after defeating Friends Club

Chaibasa (Sukesh Kumar): In the match played on Sunday under the 31st SR Rungta B-Division League being run under the aegis of West Singhbhum District Cricket Association, Pratap Cricket Club Chaibasa defeated Friends Club Chaibasa by seven wickets in a one-sided match and secured full four points. This is the second consecutive victory of Pratap Cricket Club. With today's victory, Pratap Cricket Club has a total of eight points and is at the first position in Group C in the points table and it is almost certain that it will play in the quarter finals. In today's match played at Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium ground of Chaibasa, the captain of Pratap Cricket Club won the toss and invited the opposition team to bat first.

Batting first, the entire team of Friends Club was all out after scoring only 96 runs in 24.2 overs. On behalf of this team, Subhash Jonko scored 28 runs, Nilesh Singh Kuntia scored 21 runs and Chandan Kumar Gop scored 15 runs. Chakradhar, Sudhanshu Pal, Deependra Yadav and Prateek Agarwal got two wickets each from Pratap Club. Pratap Cricket Club achieved the target of victory by scoring 102 runs in 14 overs, however in this effort three of their batsmen returned to the pavilion. On behalf of Pratap Cricket Club, Akash Tripathi played an excellent inning of 33 runs and Chakradhar played an excellent inning of 30 runs and both the batsmen were not out till the end. Anish Kumar Das also supported the team well by playing a useful inning of 26 runs.
