Champions Trophy 2025: For the first time since 1996, a global event will return to Pakistan and it will host the 2025 Champions Trophy. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has presented a proposal to BCCI for the Champions Trophy. A PCB source told PTI that the PCB has given a verbal suggestion to the BCCI. He wants that the Indian team can set up its camp in Chandigarh to play the Champions Trophy next year and go to Lahore using a special flight for the matches. If India does not want to stay in Pakistan due to security reasons then it can In between one can return somewhere from New Delhi or Chandigarh. However, PCB has not given any such suggestion in writing. The Champions Trophy will be organized from 19 February to 9 March in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
India last toured Pakistan in 2008 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. India had toured Pakistan for the Asia Cup. India and Pakistan have not played any match for the last 16 years. In this tournament played in June-July in Karachi, the Indian team lost to Sri Lanka in the final. India's last bilateral series in Pakistan was in 2006. Pakistan won the test series 1-0.
