PTI, Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has suspended men's team head coach Chandika Hathurusingha for inappropriate conduct with a player during the ODI World Cup played in India last year.
With former Sri Lankan all-rounder Hathurusingha as the coach, Bangladesh recently had to face defeat in all the matches of the Test and T20 series against India. Hathurusingha's contract was till the Champions Trophy in 2025. BCB has decided to replace him with former West Indies player Phil Simmons who will hold the post till the Champions Trophy next year.
