There is deep anger among sports lovers and area residents due to the administration's decision to impose lockdown in Mahadev Cricket Ground under Bhabar area. Sports lovers and area residents have demanded from the administration to keep this ground open for the general public until the High Court's decision. He has submitted a memorandum in this regard to SDM Sohan Singh Saini.
Sports lovers and residents of Bhabar region said in the memorandum that Mahadev Cricket Ground is the only playing field in the region. Along with women, a large number of children and other sports lovers come here to practice regularly. Said that last Sunday the Tehsildar reached the ground and asked to lock the ground.
Said that this ground is being maintained due to the tireless efforts of sports lover Prem Singh Negi. At the same time, the women say that for the last one month they were somehow finding time and coming to this ground to practice cricket. Women's cricket tournament is to be held in this ground from 22nd October, but before that the administration is talking about locking the ground. He has demanded to open the ground for the general public till the decision of the High Court comes.
The SDM handed over a copy of the memorandum of the Cricket Federation of Pauri to the people who came to submit the memorandum in the matter and said that the matter is being investigated. Those who submitted the memorandum included Prem Singh Negi, Shivanand Lakheda, Poonam Negi, Aarti Rawat, Urvashi, Yashoda, Gaurav, Ayush, Nitin, Siddhant, Mukesh Rawat etc.
